We are insured, OSHA-compliant, and locally owned and operated by first responders. We recognize how difficult a biohazard cleanup can be for families, homeowners, and businesses. We’re here to help.

Why Choose SceneSafe?

Biohazards can result from many different situations, including deaths, medical emergencies, hoarding, animal infestations, and illicit drug use. Biohazard scenes can generate significant amounts of potentially infectious waste including

  • Blood and bodily fluids.

  • Vomit and feces.

  • Animal waste and remains.

  • Spoiled and rotting food.

  • Needles, IV catheters, and other ‘sharps.’

  • Viral and bacterial pathogens.

Proper removal, disposal, and cleanup of biohazards is essential to protect the health and safety of occupants. Pathogens such as HIV, hepatitis B and C, and Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) can survive on contaminated surfaces for days or weeks. Moreover, contamination may extend beyond what is readily visible. For example, blood and bodily fluids can be transferred to clothing, bedding, or upholstery, or seep through flooring materials and into subfloors.

Our Process

To ensure that your home or business can be safely reoccupied following a biohazard event, we follow a detailed mitigation process.

We start by assessing the scene to identify hazards and develop an action plan, and we isolate the work area from other parts of the home or business to prevent cross-contamination. We then systematically remove all contaminated items, salvaging those that we can clean and disinfect, with strict adherence to OSHA guidelines.

Once all visible traces of biological materials are removed, we perform a thorough decontamination of affected surfaces using hospital-grade cleaners and disinfectants. Where necessary, final steps may include measures such as odor removal or sealing of porous surfaces such as wood framing and subfloors.

Throughout the mitigation process, we continuously test for the presence of biological materials to make sure nothing is missed.
