Why Choose Us?

Crime scene cleanup is a specialized service that requires industry-specific knowledge, skills, and equipment to be done safely and effectively. Biohazards commonly found in places where a violent crime or other traumatic event has taken place may include, but are not limited to:

  • Blood or other bodily fluids

  • Human remains

  • Tear gas and other irritants

  • Discarded needles, IV catheters, and other “sharps”

  • Broken glass and other puncture hazards

  • Animal remains and/or waste

  • Hazardous chemicals used in or resulting from the manufacture of illicit drugs

Attempting cleanup of a crime scene using conventional methods can expose occupants to significant health and safety risks and leave infectious materials behind, resulting in further property damage and health risk. The technicians at SceneSafe BioDecon are trained to safely and effectively manage the details of biohazard cleanup from start to finish. We are insured, OSHA-compliant, and locally owned and operated by first responders.

Our Process

To ensure that your home or business can be safely occupied following a biohazard event, we follow a detailed mitigation process.

We start by assessing the scene to identify hazards and develop an action plan, and we isolate the work area from other parts of the home or business to prevent cross-contamination. We then remove all contaminated materials from the area, disinfecting personal items that can be salvaged, and we clear the scene of all visible traces of blood, bodily fluids, and other biological materials. Next, we use hospital-grade disinfectants to clean and disinfect all contaminated surfaces, continuously testing for the presence of biohazards to make sure nothing is missed. Where necessary, final steps may include such, odor removal, sealing of porous surfaces such as wood framing and subfloors, and other measures.

Throughout the mitigation process, we follow OSHA guidelines regarding blood borne pathogens, personal protective equipment (PPE), and infectious waste disposal. You can expect us to deliver timely updates on the progress of our work, and to treat your property as if it were our own.
